StoryTeller
We imagine the dream of a faun, who’s dreaming of animals from Africa, Asia, the Arab world — swimmers, fliers, big, small, slow, fast, prehistoric, farm; she even dreams of an orchestra. She dreams of music, music that makes us dream.
A chain of surprises no more logical than that of dreams, no other reason than the music itself, a number of animals without much more. We dream ourselves awake, immersed in a magical atmosphere. We imagine… What a carnival! The Títeres Etcétera company is highly regarded in contemporary Spanish theatre for its top-quality, versatile and avant-garde work designed for audiences of all kinds.Founded by Enrique Lanz and Fabiola Garrido in Granada in 1981, its projects consist of musical works staged with puppets. Their shows have captivated both critics and audiences, and they have succeeded in carving out a niche for puppets in the programmes of major Spanish theatres and festivals.Granada Science Park hosted an exhibition of the company's work that was visited by almost 800,000 people. The distinctive features of this production is its poetry, the aesthetic sensitivity in the creation of the puppets, and the ongoing work of research which all go to ensure that each new show is different from the last. This artistic offering has brought the company invitations to perform in some thirty countries and attend all the leading international music and specialist festivals.
